Ingredienti
  

For the crust
  • 250 g all-purpose flour
  • 125 g unsalted butter At room temperature
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 large egg
For the lemon cream filling
  • 1 lemon zest and juice Fresh
  • 500 ml milk
  • 4 egg yolks egg yolks
  • 100 g sugar (for the cream)
  • 30 g cornstarch
Toppings
  • to taste Pinoli (pine nuts)
  • to taste Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, butter, sugar, and egg until a dough forms.
  3. Roll out the dough and fit it into a greased tart pan.
  4. Bake the crust until golden, around 20-25 minutes.
Making the Lemon Cream
  1. In a saucepan, heat the milk with lemon zest.
  2. In a bowl, whisk the egg yolks, sugar, and cornstarch.
  3. Gradually add the hot milk to the egg mixture, stirring constantly.
  4. Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook until thickened.
  5. Pour the lemon cream into the cooled crust.
Final Baking
  1. Sprinkle pine nuts on top and bake for another 10-15 minutes.
  2. Let cool, dust with powdered sugar, and serve.

Note

Best served at room temperature or slightly chilled. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
